Pool Inspections and Assessments

A pool is generally the second biggest investment of a property besides the house itself.  Let a pool professional, like myself, do a more thorough inspection of not only the pool but all safety related matters.  Know what you're buying before it's too late.

If you own a short term rental or long term rental, it is very important to have a safe pool and area around the pool.  Not only does it help the enjoyment of your guests or tenants, but it helps you reduce the liability that may occur.  Plus it's good to know the condition of everything pool related to forecast potential expenses.

Unbiased reporting - I do not provide pool repairs or have any stake in a company that does pool repairs.  Therefore, I am not looking for items to address where I can try and make a sale later.  I am simply reporting anything I see not typical in a pool environment for the safety and good of the pool owner or potential pool owner.

Inspection vs Assessment - An inspection involves a written report of the findings.  Typically for new home buyers during the inspection window. An assessment is an unwritten report where the pool owner or manager is on-site to view/discuss all the same items during an inspection.  Assessments are more for home inspectors, property managers or anyone that is more hands-on and wants to know first-hand the condition of the pool.

Here is a list of typical items I inspect along with a sample report:
